If you have a leak in your main drain line, you need to give us a call. There are various reasons for a leak, and depending upon the cause, there are different methods used to fix the problem. We, at Parker and Sons Plumbing, have a video inspection method that can determine the location and reason for the leak. Our equipment is of high quality Sewer Video Inspection in San Antonio, TXand our professional technicians are well trained.

How It All Works

Basically, what we do is insert a cable with a camera attached to the end. As the line is pushed through the pipe we can observe the condition of the drain pipe from a monitor. The importance of doing this is to avoid doing unnecessary repairs or repairs that are insufficient. If a pipe has a leak in one of the sections at the seams, we may be able to dig one hole at the location of the problem and make the repair.

Repair Methods

We want to avoid digging up too much ground. It is labor intensive and expensive. In cases where large portions of the drain line need to be replaced or perhaps even the entire line, we offer the latest technology in main line replacement. This technology is called trenchless sewer line repair. It is less time consuming and produces better results than the traditional way of digging up the entire sewer line.

If you have a main line problem that has small leaks in several places, we can use a method in which we blow epoxy through your sewer line. This epoxy covers the inside or the pipe and seals all of the leaks.

Another method we offer is with pipe bursting. With this method, only one or two holes are dug. We need to access the beginning of the main line from your house and at the end of the main line near the street. We then send a flexible cable through the line with a special head that bursts the drain pipe from the inside. As this cable is pushed through the line, a flexible tube is pulled through behind and attached at both ends of the main line.
